How to Register or Renew

Recreation memberships can be purchased or renewed at
Membership & Information Services, located in the John Wooden Center, 2nd floor. For a campus map, click here.

Please bring with you:

Photo ID
Current proof of eligibility

For household adults, proof of shared residence is also required.

To save time, you may download and complete the membership application form below and bring it with you. All new and renewing members must also sign a Release & Liability Waiver in to complete the membership application.

The Student Membership Application is not available online. Please pick one up at Membership & Information Services in the John Wooden Center, 2nd floor.

The Student Membership Application applies to:

UCLA undergraduate students
UCLA graduate students
UNEX students (concurrently enrolled only)
Household adults and families of UCLA students

When to Purchase

Annual memberships for students and their household adults and families coincide with the traditional academic year.

For other parties, annual memberships are valid through four quarters from the time of purchase. One-quarter memberships are also available (see chart below).

Annual memberships purchased after December 1 of any particular year expires December 31 of the following year. Please note that some affiliates are eligible to purchase memberships on a quarter-basis only.

Membership Policies

Neither the Recreation Membership card nor the student Bruin Card may be transferred to another person. Violation of this policy will result in confiscation of the cards and the suspension of recreation privileges. All users agree to comply with University and Recreation policies, posted instructions and directions given by UCLA Recreation employees. Violation may result in confiscation of the Recreation Card and loss of recreation privileges and future enrollment privileges.
