    Welcome Week Festivities
    At the beginning of each new fall quarter, Welcome Week includes a variety of special events and opportunities for both new, returning and new graduate students and their families. Events such as:

  • The Enormous Activities Fair is a fun-filled event with sponsorship booths, student club representatives, food and music. Club Sports Jamboree provides demonstrations and interactive opportunities showcasing UCLA Recreation’s more then 40 club sports.
  • BruinFest is an evening event held in the John Wooden Center, for all residence hall students – over 4,000 students participate in classes, demonstrations, games, food and music.
  • FITWELL Program
    The UCLA Recreation FITWELL Program activates wellness on campus by educating, motivating and empowering faculty, staff and students to make healthy lifestyle choices specifically in the areas of fitness and exercise, nutrition and weight management, stress management, and general health education. Included are BruinWalkers, a walking program for the entire campus, with various walking events and contests throughout the year; the Fitsquad, a mobile unit of fitness educators who travel throughout campus; personal fitness training for exercise, lifestyle and weight management coaching; and mind/body group classes in yoga, pilates & meditation. Sponsorship of any one of these programs allows your company to not only have great visibility, but also to be part of promoting a healthier lifestyle to all.

    Youth Programs and Summer Camps
    UCLA Recreation's Summer Youth Programs offers a wide variety of summer camps for children in grades K-12. Located at UCLA, the camps - Bruin Tots, Bruin Kids, Bruins on Broadway, Sunset Sleepover and Camps Explore, Voyager, Adventure Sailing & Adventure Surfing and Extreme - emphasize each child's needs and personal development within a group setting.

    Activities for younger children feature cooperative play and include indoor/outdoor games, arts and crafts, swimming and field trips. For elementary children, camps focus on areas of interest: science, sports, acting,creative thinking, performance, and arts and crafts. Secondary school students can enjoy week long programs in surfing, sailing and rock climbing, as well as educational exploration, in our adventure camps. outdoor family movies are also available.
